What does the CariVu do?
The CariVu gives us a better view of areas in between the teeth, which are otherwise very difficult to see.
This method of detecting cavities gives our dentists the ability to see even more than with x-rays. So, we are finding that the Carivu is an excellent tool to compliment them.
How does it work?
The CariVu is a wand that shines a bright light on the tooth and then sends a digital image to the computer. This image permits the dentist to “see through” the tooth and in between teeth. With this technology, the accuracy of detecting cavities is much higher.
