It can be really overwhelming trying to pick a toothpaste from the wall of choices, in the toothpaste aisle!
To make your decision a little easier, here are a few things to look for
1. Look for the “Canadian Dental Association” (CDA) seal of Approval.
The CDA seal ensures that the toothpaste meets the criteria for safety and effectiveness. The CDA does extensive testing to make sure that standards are met and that claims are verified.
2. Focus on your needs.
– Are your teeth sensitive to hot or cold foods? You may want to choose a toothpaste for sensitive teeth.
– Have your teeth become stained? You may want to consider a whitening toothpaste which will help with surface stains. We also offer whitening treatments in our office. Let us know if you would like more information.
– Have kids? You’ll want to make sure that your child’s toothpaste contains fluoride, as it helps protect their teeth against cavities and plaque build up. You’ll also want to make sure to choose a flavour they like as it will get them more excited about brushing their teeth!
Make sure to ask your questions about toothpaste! We are always happy to help.
